I saved $20 on my electric bill. I did it mainly by only having the thing I was using, like either the TV, game system(using rechargeable batteries that I control, not hooked up to the console where it looks better to charge it when not in use but I don’t feel ‘The play’ part everyday), I unplug things I don’t use everyday. Every little bit helps. I say that because the big thing that helped lower my bill was the laptop always being plugged in. The adapter alone consumes the energy even if it is not connected to the computer. I decided to complete my testing doing a pretty thorough job. $20 doesn’t seem like much but it wasn’t a full month either. For electricity, $20 is a lot, now that I think about it.
Electricity update…
February 21st, 2012Everything is…
February 21st, 2012I’m not only thinking about drugs and alcohol, which are two of the most common forms of addiction. Everything is an addiction! Feeling good(mainly how you get there, good or bad.), money(how and why(Keepin’ up with the Jones’, et all) you get it). I say this because I’ve been reading a lot of articles lately with the word, “addiction” in them and remember what I’ve done through my recovery, noticing things I did and what others did too(what I thought they might be thinking). I admit I might have been totally off but I was comparing it to what I can do and if I would be willing to keep doing it again and again to keep getting it. That led me into thinking about the stress part of actually repeating it, not letting myself down or others down, if I was ever in that predicament. I just read an article about wireless airwaves getting full because of the customers’s addiction of data and use of phone plans and the ease of the newer phones. One of the things that caught my eye was that the iPhone was one of the big data miners. The article did say that the problem was years off and that there were some fixes in the works. Believe it or not, some of the carriers are trying to consolidate their resources to buy some time. Another fix was to downgrade to a cell phone with only a small data plan, not a phone or plan that features more bells and whistles than you know what to do with to make your life easier because that takes more data. Bells and whistles are great but for how long, well until the next drove of gotta haves comes out, right. One other thing that the article said is that the plans will get more expensive. Remember a few posts ago I said, “We do things because we can”, a lot of things being done are not necessarily thought of in the long run, they’re just done because it can be done. I’m not accusing anyone, only the nobody’s(thoughts or scenarios) in my head. All-in-all, we are addicted to something.
username but no saved…
February 18th, 2012If a webpage that usually has both of your login criteria filled in, but doesn’t have the password filled in, select the username input area twice so the saved username can be selected again and the password should be automatically put in. You can then be logged in.
Laughing after…
February 17th, 2012I checked the post that I posted previously and started laughing after because I do more than just sing in a day. I only sing really in the morning. Sometimes later in the day too. I wasn’t laughing because of that though. I was laughing at how abruptly I ended the recording, “That’s about all I really do, Bye|”
Totally unscripted…
February 17th, 2012My natural, just about every morning, voice. I did it because I thought to.
Candidate nod…
February 15th, 2012What I’ve noticed is that when candidates for an elected office have a rally, there is at least one person in the crowd near the candidate that is so animate with their nodding when many, if not every point is made when the candidate speaks. I’m sure it’s a subliminal action to accumulate votes.
oxymoron and a synonym…
February 14th, 2012I was reciting what my friend’s radio station has, which is new rock and I got to the holiday weekends, which have retro rock. Then I thought of this oxymoron, ‘new retro’.
Just for fun, years ago I tried breaking the word, ‘Notary Public’, down because it is only one person doing it and it does sound like, ‘Notarepublic’. Every time I need to use one, that reasoning always pops up, even though I know the truth.
My Anselmo voice…
February 11th, 2012I tried to imitate Phil Anselmo’s voice this morning with success. I was singing Pantera’s, ‘It Makes Them Disappear’. I’ll tell you something, “I’m not doing that again, in my apartment anyway.” I did do the chorus, ‘It makes them disappear, it fills their lives with fear…’ great, but with some difficulty. With voice lessons I can accomplish more, I’m sure. When that studio was nearby, that was a fleeting moment that passed. I wasn’t ready then, at least with where my voice was and where I thought it should be. That moment encouraged me to improve some things like impersonating voices. I’m still slow but a lot quicker in thinking and speaking now, which is awesome. My walking is still doing awesome as well. I found what I’m good at and that is improving. Improving is a responsibility, which I have to do at my own pace. I’ll leave you with this quote, “We do things because we can.”.
Hey, what did you get for # 1.
February 8th, 2012The answer to your life is the answer for your life, you.
I thought…
February 7th, 2012Months ago or maybe even a year ago I blogged about how I thought the Stock Market relying on the citizens.(placing the blame to my(our) spending, as a whole.) A few weeks ago I was watching a program about the economy and Wall Street and we are to blame to some degree but I didn’t even think about trading between businesses or nations counted. My assumption was basically pertaining to my(our) own life(lives). I started to spend little more after I blogged that months ago. I couldn’t keep the spending more than usual up so I stopped that after a week. For some reason I thought that if I started to spend a little more that other people too would spend more. The only thing is that I didn’t advertise my thinking because if I did, I’d probably would get the answer I found out months later.
